Airports Authority, American Express to build new lounge at Reagan National Airport

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority announced an agreement with American Express to construct and open its 16th Centurion Lounge at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

The agreement will be administered by MarketPlace Development, the contractor overseeing the concessions program at Reagan National on behalf of the Airports Authority.

The 11,500-sq.-ft. lounge is expected to open by the end of 2022, following the completion of Project Journey, an airport-improvement and reconfiguration project.

The Centurion Lounge will be located post-security near Terminal B. The lounge will feature Centurion Lounge amenities such as a custom menu of gourmet food and drinks, premium restrooms and shower suites, access to high-speed Wi-Fi and noise-buffering workspaces. Floor-to-ceiling windows will offer airfield views, and the design of the lounge will complement the airport’s iconic architecture.
