WBC schedules discussion about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the construction industry

The Washington Building Congress (WBC) has scheduled a Nov. 15 discussion about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in the construction industry.

“This event’s mission is for participants to leave feeling prepared to engage in discussions within their companies that will ensure DEI action is not limited to October’s construction inclusion week (more information on this industry initiative here),” the event announcement says.

Keven Lugo from DPR Construction and David Osei of Redbrick LMD will be the presenters for the program from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at 1627 I Street NW (penthouse).

“The event will start with a brief presentation sharing industry-specific DEI information. Afterwards, the event will transition into a break-out format,” the program description says. “To close the event, we will gather as a large group to share our learnings and questions that remain open. This format will serve as practice for participants to have DEI conversations in their workspaces.”

Members and nonWBC members can complete a registration form or register online at wbcnet.org. The registration fee is $30 for everyone.
