SMPS DC members to help out at Capital Area Food Bank

The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Washington DC Chapter is preparing to help out as volunteers at the Capital Area Food Bank.

Participating members on June 9 will sort food donations and pack emergency and senior food boxes for food insecure people in the region, SMPS DC says in a note to its membership.

“Working in the distribution center is a great way for volunteers to support the Capital Area Food Bank on the front lines of the distribution process,”association says. “Volunteers provide the essential first step in getting food flowing to men, women, and children in the Greater Washington Metropolitan area.”

Members will volunteer between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m. at the distribution center at 4900 Puerto Rico Avenue, NE.
